Automatic License Retrieval

Monday, March 8th, 2010

As a part of my commitment to serve you better and more efficiently, I have added a feature to the Desuade Licensing Platform allowing you to retrieve your official licensing information automatically. This saves you time waiting for a response to a support email that’s been the standard protocol for the past 3 years.

You will receive an email automatically when you purchase Partigen, and spam filters are the number 1 suspect when your license email never come – so be sure to check them first!

If you ever lose your information (or never seem to have gotten it), just visit this page and you’ll get it in a jiffy:

Partigen Tutorials, Demos, Videos …Oh My!

Friday, February 5th, 2010

I have just finished the last updates on the Partigen section of the site for a big design refresh. After weeks of work recording videos, taking screenshots, designing, and coding it’s finally done and live. Two new pages have been added for demos and buzz. You can check it out here now:

http://desuade.com/partigen

I have included many new demos, videos, tutorials, and lots of other good stuff to really show off the kind of Flash particle effects Partigen 2 is capable of. Most importantly, how quickly and easily it is to make them.

I hope this helps you make a more informed decision deciding how right Partigen 2 is for you, your company, and clients. Let me know what you think!

Again, you can check out the new pages here and here.

Maintenance – Backend Moved to PHP

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Just an update to let you know we switched backends to PHP from Ruby. This should provide snappier loading and downloads. If you notice anything off, leave a comment and let me know.

Update: there was an issue with the Partigen Buy Now page that has now been resolved. If you had any issues purchasing, please try again now, thank you.

Desuade Partigen 2 Available for Pre-order Now!

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

We’re almost there!  Partigen 2 will be out in a few weeks, and starting today, you can pre-order your copy to get it before everyone else. The site has been updated, and the Partigen section of the site has been launched:

http://desuade.com/partigen

Pre-ordering also helps get the product out even faster, as more resources can be devoted to the project. So not only will you get your hands on Partigen 2 before the general public, but that time will come even sooner.

The site will be updated over the next few weeks with more examples and demos, so keep an eye open and be sure to tell all your friends. You should also follow @desuade on Twitter now for the latest news, and exclusive behind-the-scenes development updates!

Desuade Website Relaunched!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Desuade.com v2 is live: http://desuade.com/

The original desuade.com website has been up for about 2-3 years, and it was time for a refresh. The first design was, in my opinion, a beautiful work of a typography-based design, but like most people, I felt it was too much text. That, along with new products and a slew of new experience, it was long over-due for a re-haul.

The new site is a bit snazzier, and although there is still a bit of typography work, I feel there is a healthy balance of graphics and text.

Most importantly, the new site is smaller, easier to maintain, and straight to the point. Get what you want, and get it fast. It’s all about logical, coherent, instant gratification.

Next month, Partigen 2 will be launched. Until then, the Partigen pages in the site are logically unavailable, since Partigen 1 is not being sold anymore.

Over the next few days there will be some tweaking here and there of content and backend optimizations, so a few site quirks may occur.

Any feedback on navigation, page layout, or content would be appreciated. The user experience is what counts, and if something missing, please let me know!

Desuade.com Server Migration/Relaunch

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

In preparation of the new products and site redesign launch, it has also been decided to migrate to a new VPS server as well. This should make the site and all subdomains a lot snappier.

The forums and blog should be up and running as normal, and seem to be super fast.

The main desuade.com site will be back up next week with a redesign, as well as making DMP and Partigen 2 libraries available.

UPDATE: DLP server is offline until DLP2 is up and running. Users trying to activate/deactivate Partigen 1.x may experience disruptions in service. We are working on a way to keep legacy products usable in the platform, instead of a quick fix. Thank you for you support in this large upgrade.

It seems there has been some trouble downloading Partigen 1.1, especially in Internet Explorer, as well as opening the zip on Windows systems. This has now (hopefully) been fixed.

Site Caching Now Implemented

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Hey everyone, still busy over here. I’ve just integrated a caching feature to the site to increase performance and speed. Things should be a bit snappier, even more than they were before. The site may seem very static, but it’s completely dynamic, so this will definitely take a load off the server.

If you do notice anything strange, or something isn’t working right, just let me know. Though, it should be very stable.
